Tier 1 Visa (Exceptional Talent)

What is a Tier 1 Global Talent Visa?

The Global Talent Visa is a U.K. immigration category for talented people in speciöc areas such as humanities, science, engineering, arts and technology. The Global Talent visa replaced the Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) visa category in the month of March 2020. The Global Talent Visa is an immigration category that leads to settlement after 5 years if you are considered a promising candidate or 3 years if you are considered a Talented candidate. After completion of your settlement application and required residency period in the U.K., you can apply for British Citizenship.

What is the Global Talent Visa processing time?

The application for endorsement generally takes up to 28 days for processing. The application can take around three weeks if you are applying from outside the U.K. and around eight weeks if you are applying within the U.K.

In some cases, priority applications are also possible for visa applications. Also note that the applicant doesn’t have to wait for the endorsement to be granted before they apply for the visa – although there is a risk because if the endorsement application is refused, then the visa application will be refused as well.

How Osbourne Pinner helped the client?

Our client, an international innovator and author had applied for a Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) Visa. However, his application was refused by the Endorsing Body, even though our client had öled for two patents in the U.S., was a published author and had appeared on multiple news sites speaking about digital technology.

The client exercised his rights and sought an Endorsement Review. However, The Endorsing Body refused his request. After this refusal, the client had approached Osbourne Pinner.

Our experts at Osbourne Pinner ensured that the client met the requirements to be endorsed as an Exceptional Talent. Therefore, we advised and helped our client to submit a fresh application for Endorsement to Tech Nation.

In order to ensure a strong case, we carefully gathered a list of substantial evidence and presented comprehensive legal representations to prove that the client was a genuine entrepreneur. We submitted legal submissions and challenged the decision of adverse credibility made with the previous application of our client.
