How to Start Preparing for a UK Student Visa Interview?

Going for a student visa interview can be really stressful, especially if it is your first time. But don’t worry, most UK student visas are granted if you can state the reasons why you wish to study in the UK and have all the required documents.

What Documents are Required?

  • Confirmation of Acceptance: You should receive a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). You are required to apply for your visa within six months after receiving your CAS.
  • Proof of Funding: You should be able to prove that you have enough funds to pay for your course tuition fees and monthly living costs whilst you will be studying in the UK.

    • £1,265 per month for courses in London
    • £1,015 per month for courses outside London

  • Evidence of consent: This is required from your parents but only if you are a minor.
  • You are also required to possess enough proficiency in the English language. This is judged through a test that measures your fluency versus the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale.
